Apple App Store Reaches 1 Billion Downloaded Apps

Holy frickin’ moley!  Apple’s app store hit the 1 billion mark today.  It’s only been online for 287 days, which means 3,484,321 apps were being downloaded per day.  The person who downloaded the billionth app won a 17-inch Macbook Pro, 32GB iPod Touch, $10,000 iTunes gift card and a Time Capsule.  Not bad for downloading the billionth app, but when you consider what Apple has made from the store you’d think they’d go a little bigger.
