Google announced the availability of Android 1.5 early look SDK for developers; more specifically, the cupcake branch from the Android Open Source Project. So what does this mean for you the user? This means the developers can play around with the cupcake ingredients, stir it around a bit, and pop out some pretty nifty Android apps for you to taste.

So if you’re a developer, expect new APIs to code things like:

• Soft (virtual) keyboards
• Home screen widgets
• Live folders
• Speech recognition
