Improved Gmail For iPhone And Android Devices

Google today announced a new and improved version of Gmail for iPhone and Android-powered devices. The slew of improvements include faster performance, working offline, and interface improvements made possible by technologies such as aggressive caching, HTML5, and Gears.
There’s a bunch of other stuff so to summarize, the update includes:
- Improved performance when opening email, navigating, searching
- Ability to work even when data network drops
- New browser technologies-HTML5 and Gears-which allow quick feature rollouts and performance upgrades
- Easier inbox navigation: select a message and a floaty bar appears on top of screen with options to archive, delete, and more
- Improved look and feel of messages: labels are easier to read, search menu moved to the top header
- Supports only iPhone/iPod Touch OS 2.2.1 or above
- All Android phones supported
