Virgin Mobile Unlimited Call Plan Now $49.99, Offers Pink Slip Protection

Virgin Mobile dropped the price of their no-contract, unlimited, prepaid calling plan from $80/month to $49.99. Also, in an interesting PR move, they’re offering pink slip protection for new and current customers.
Virgin Mobile, in a move similar to the car manufacturers, will cover 3 months of cell service in case of unemployment. To qualify, you obviously need to provide proof of unemployment and must be a customer for 2 months.
I say kudos to Virgin Mobile for their “kind hearted” move. Now, only if a few others, such as fast food joints, follow suit, we’ll all be having free Big Macs for a month.
