Google Releases Android 1.6 “Donut” SDK To Developers

Google announced the availability of their Android 1.6 “Donut” SDK to developers. So what’s new in this version? Quite a lot, actually. Check it out:
- New version of Android Market
- Re-worked search function with the ability to search browser bookmarks, history, contacts, and the web from desktop
- Redesigned camera, video recorder, and gallery applications (with an emphasis on speed)
- Revised VPN menu page
- Improved CDMA support
- Increased support for screen resolutions
- More telephony and gesture APIs
- Text to speech engine
Look for this release as early as October.
