Live in NYC?  Good news.  AT&T says they’ve finished upgrading their 3G network.  To prove it they say call quality has improved 47%, data speeds have gone up 25% and performance during peaks hours should be more solid all together.  Based on our experience a 47% increase in call quality means that every other call will no be disconnected after 15 minutes as opposed to every call.

t-mobile-even-more-plus-overview

My hats off to T-Mobile.  They did a solid job keeping the deets on Project Dark in the dark, that is until a few days ago when all the info pretty much spilled out on to the webosphere.  Today, the company got official with their new rate plans which seem to be a mix of Sprint’s unlimited offering and Verizon’s ‘no contract, bring your own equipment’ setups.

Both the Even More Plus and Even More plans are available in a family plan (for a premium) format and break down like this: …Continue reading: T-Mobile’s New Rate Plans Now Official And Available For Your Perusal

Soon T-Mobile and AT&T customers will be able to buy a Palm PRE…for $715.  That’s right, the unlocked GSM version of the Palm PRE has gone on sale from none other than Expansys-usa.  Pretty much everything remains the same as the original version, except this one sports a QWERTZ keyboard, as opposed to a QWERTY keyboard.  They’re currently out of stock, but hopefully we can expect more any day now.

Leak: Storm 2 Launch Date And Price

October 23rd, 2009 1:43 PM | by Christen da Costa

storm2

While I can’t predict the weather, one thing is for sure: a storm is on the way.  To be more specific the Storm 2 from RIM.  Yup, they’re releasing the second iteration of the device on October 28th, at least according to some leaked documentation.  This is supposed to be the launch day of Motorola’s Droid, but Verizon isn’t exactly known for warm and fuzziness.  I’m far from excited, especially after playing with the original Storm and predicting its demise.  Expect to drop $179.99 after a 2-year contract signing and $100 mail-in-rebate.
