In a face-saving move to quell angry Sidekick customers, T-Mobile is set to give a $100 card to those who’ve experienced significant or permanent data loss. The $100 credit can be used for future T-Mobile purchases or can be used to pay monthly phone bills. This is in addition to the free month of data service to all Sidekick owners. Good move, T-Mobile.
T-Mobile remains hopeful that the majority of customers will have their personal data restored.

According to some snaps at the CTIA, the BlackBerry Bold 9000 is about to receive a white makeover. That’s right, folks, the long revered, sexy-black Bold is going to be available in albino white on the 18th of October for a cool $199.99 after 2 year AT&T contract.
I can’t place it but there’s just something about the white Bold that’s just…not…right. Think I’ll just stick with my black Bold, tyvm.

Word on the street is that Sprint has come to their senses and will slash the price of the HTC Touch Pro2 from $349.99 to $199.99 after contract signing and mail-in-rebate on October 1st. This move only seemed inevitable since Verizon already sells the exact same handset for the purported new lower price and with the iPhone and many other smartphones costing less it’s probably the only rational thing to do when it comes to remaining slightly competitive. Course if I were you, I’d just buy me a Palm PRE from Letstalk.com, who is currently selling it for $79.99 after all the fine print stuff.
Note: if you bought the phone before this rumor emerged, hit up Sprint’s customer care and you should be able to get $100 credit, at least that’s what some folks are saying. Course, you might have to wait until this news becomes official.

If you bought a Palm PRE at full price just a few days ago, or even for $99.99 from Amazon, you should be kicking yourself right now. Letstalk.com now offers the WebOS phone for an ultra low $79.99 after a 2-year contract signing. Crazy? Perhaps, but this seems to be a good indicator that the PRE is destined for other carriers any day now other than Sprint, unless of course the PRE 4G is upon the horizon.
Note, you’ll have to send in a $100 mail-in-rebate.

Vertu’s clamshell phone, the Constellation F Ayxta, is now official. For a mere, give or take 8 grand, you can own this ultra high end phone that’s made of stainless steel, ceramic, leather, sappphire crystal (display), and aerospace-grade aluminum parts. Oh yeah, the specs include GPS, 3G HSDPA, micro SD slot, and 3 megapixel camera w/ dual LED flash.
The phone definitely looks cool but for that kind of money I think I’d settle for a car.
