Rumors have it that AT&T will be releasing a iPhone 3GS 8GB version for a low $99. Why would they do this? To combat the attack of the DROID, so says the sources. A smart move, if this were to happen, as I imagine many would flock to the 3GS at this price point. The DROID may be cool and all but I’d definitely go for a $99 3GS with the backing of a HUGE library of apps.

T-Mobile’s MyTouch 3G, recently featured on the Oprah show, is now going for $99 thanks to a special Oprah promotion. Simply enter KICKOFF24 in the promotion code box at checkout and get a cool $100 off (2 year contract required). The offer ends on September 24 but be sure to get in on this early–anything that Oprah promotes goes off the shelf like bonkers…umm, according to the wife.
