Rumors on the street is that Google will be releasing a free, ad-supported turn-by-turn GPS application. And yes, that was the collective trembling of Garmin, Tom Tom, and the rest of the traditional GPS makers as they shook in their boots. Assuming this is true, of course.
I always wondered why Google never released such an app that would be a natural extension of Google Maps. It just makes sense, right?

RIM and Tivo announced the availability of the Tivo app for BlackBerry devices. Yeah, you probably perked up and exclaimed, “Wow!” but the app only allows you to view the program guide and schedule shows to be recorded. Sorry to be a downer but like most of you I was expecting to watch my shows on the BlackBerry itself. Eh, perhaps in the next version.
You can now download the app through BlackBerry App World.
