Verizon customers will be happy to know that the much vaunted BlackBerry Tour will be available on July 12th in stores and online. You can pre-order it now for the introductory price of $200. By all accounts this new BlackBerry combines the strengths of the Bold and the Curve 8900, which is a rockin’ combination I must say.

Official: Blackberry Curve 8900 Release Date On AT&T

May 20th, 2009 11:25 AM | by Christen da Costa

blackberry-curve-8900

News has just hit that AT&T will in fact release the Blackberry Curve 8900 this Friday, May 22nd, which is 3 days earlier than originally leaked. Price for the full QWERTY keyboarded handset will be $199.99 after a 2-year and mail-in-rebate. But since it lacks 3G, I’d just opt for the Bold, which is just $149.99 at Wirefly.

blackberry-storm-2

RIM’s CEO confirmed the impending arrival of the Blackberry Storm 2, but we never imagined, even in our wildest dreams that pics of the handset would leak to the blogosphere this soon.  No official specs have been touted, but the bottom buttons now appear to be integrated into the touchscreen.  With that all said, does this mean that were close to a Storm 2 launch?  Perhaps Q4?

The new, sexier phone will likely feature 3G (rejoice all you T-Mobile users), UMA support, UMTS/HSDPA, 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, optical trackpad (heard good things about this), 480×360 screen, and a carbon fiber-like back cover.

Onyx will supposedly launch as the BlackBerry Curve 9600 this fall for $199 with 2 year contract.

Leak: Blackberry Curve 8900 Release Date On AT&T

May 5th, 2009 5:00 PM | by Christen da Costa

blackberry-curve-89001

It was just yesterday that AT&T confirmed that they’ll be bringing the popular Blackberry Curve 8900 to their network this summer.  Unfortunately, the press release was devoid of an actual launch date and simply stated an ‘early summer’ release.  Now BGR’s inside man (or woman) says the Curve will land at AT&T on May 25th for $149.99 after a contract signing and mail-in-rebate.  The tipster also says that AT&T will drop the price of the Bold to $199.99….bold indeed.

Watch Mobile TV On Your BlackBerry

May 5th, 2009 1:38 PM | by Albert

primetime2go

A new BlackBerry app by the name of PrimeTime2Go allows users to download and play their favorite TV shows including Lost, The Office, Top Chef, and Monk. The app downloads the full length show from Wi-Fi or in the background via cellular data connection and allows unlimited viewing until an expiration date.

PrimeTime2Go is available on the BlackBerry App World and requires a monthly $8 service fee. So is it worth it? Perhaps but here’s hoping that Hulu will develop a free mobile app for BB users.

Blackberry Curve 8900 Coming To AT&T ‘Early Summer’

May 4th, 2009 4:40 PM | by Christen da Costa

blackberry-curve-8900

AT&T confirmed today that the Blackberry Curve 8900 will in fact come to the carrier sometime ‘early summer’.  We’re basically talking about the same handset that appeared on T-Mobile some months back, so it’s nothing to go bananas over.  Included in the deal is access to over 20,000 AT&T WiFi locations on the device, but you’ll have to choose the Unlimited Data Plan when you sign up.  Other features include a 3.2 megapixel camera, microSD card slot and more.  Sorry, no word on a price, but I’d guess $100 or so.

First Shots Of Blackberry Curve 8520

May 1st, 2009 5:27 PM | by Albert

blackberry-curve-8520

The addicts over at Crackberry managed to get some pics of the upcoming Blackberry Curve 8520 aka Gemini. From the pics it looks like the new device will feature:

  • Optical trackball as opposed to the classic ‘rollerball’
  • Dedicated media player buttons
  • Rubberized body

There’s no 3G which really boggles my mind but the device itself looks very polished.
