So the rumor is that the new iPhone will arrive this June and with it we should of course expect some upgrades, such as an improved camera, WiFi, software (this will obviously be available to all) and screen. 9to5mac is also reporting that we can expect the next iteration of the handset to include an FM transmitter for wirelessly transmitting audio to your car’s stereo, but also receive real time traffic updates and perhaps FM radio. Although I have a hard time believing the latter part of the rumor - Apple has long resisted the radio in favor of the iTunes store - its reasonable that the new iPhone will include this feature as indicated by a boot script found in the developer version of the new software. Also of note, the 3G iPhone could also contain this functionality since FM hardware does exist inside the phone already.
