
RIM, makers of the well respected BlackBerry, are working on an enhanced plugin for Gmail that significantly enhances the mail experience for BlackBerry users. The new plugin is rumored to have the following features:
- See your Gmail based emails in Conversation View for simple topic management
- Add and remove labels and stars to emails to keep inbox organized
- Archive and report as spam actions for mailbox management on the go
- Search your entire Gmail inbox

Google today announced a new and improved version of Gmail for iPhone and Android-powered devices. The slew of improvements include faster performance, working offline, and interface improvements made possible by technologies such as aggressive caching, HTML5, and Gears.
There’s a bunch of other stuff so to summarize, the update includes:
- Improved performance when opening email, navigating, searching
- Ability to work even when data network drops
- New browser technologies-HTML5 and Gears-which allow quick feature rollouts and performance upgrades
