AT&T announced the launch of Samsung’s latest Windows Mobile handsets, the Jack. It will be available on May 19th for $99.99 after a 2-year contract and $100 mail-in-rebate. Unfortunately, the phone is pretty standard ops and offers 3G, microSD card slot, 3.2 megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, aGPS and a full QWERTY keyboard. In case you can’t tell, the Jack is just another iteration of the Blackjack.

AT&T confirmed today that the Blackberry Curve 8900 will in fact come to the carrier sometime ‘early summer’. We’re basically talking about the same handset that appeared on T-Mobile some months back, so it’s nothing to go bananas over. Included in the deal is access to over 20,000 AT&T WiFi locations on the device, but you’ll have to choose the Unlimited Data Plan when you sign up. Other features include a 3.2 megapixel camera, microSD card slot and more. Sorry, no word on a price, but I’d guess $100 or so.

Oh yes, Nokia’s E71x is now officially available from AT&T! At just $99 after a 2-year contract signing and $50 mail-in-rebate, this full QWERTY keyboarded handset is actually a steal when compared to other Nokia handsets of a similar form factor. Features include 3G, GPS, 3.2MP camera, media player, 2.4-inch 240×320 screen, Bluetooth 2.0, microSD card slot and a 4 hour talk time on a single charge. Color me excited!

Most companies probably cringe at the thought of ‘leaked news’, but if I were Motorola I might be jumping for joy. Why? They need all the press they can get. Today leaked images of two upcoming Android based phones appeared.
First up is the Calgary (pictured above). It sports a slide out QWERTY keyboard that is a mix of touch and chicklet, a touchscreen and some sort of software with a focus on ’social networking’. This phone will be out in Q2.

Next up, is the Motorola Iron Man, which sounds so stupid it probably isnt’ even real. This one sports a slide down QWERTY keyboard and the usual smartphone features one has come to expect. This phone will be out in Q3.
So, yeah, all we really have are some crappy pictures of rumored handsets.

Oh the puns that phone manufacturers come up with. Yeah, they’re not good, but then again nor are mine. The LG UX265 Banter (get it?) has made its way to US Cellular and given its feature set I some how don’t see lines forming out the door for this handset. Specs include a dual keypad - slideout QWERTY and numeric keypad - GPS enabled, 5.5 hour talk time, 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, music player, changeable faceplates and VGA screen.
It’s yours for $49.95 after a 2-year agreement and $50 mail-in-rebate.

Verizon’s LG Voyager 2 and EnV3 showed up today courtesy of Mr. Blurry cam. Not too many details are known at this juncture, but since the phones are relatively boring and set for release in the near future does it matter?
