T-Mobile Says Most Sidekick Data Recovered

Millions of mobile users let out a collective sigh of relief with T-Mobile’s announcement of data being restored on most Sidekick devices. Users should see a gradual restoration of data starting with their phone contacts followed by calendar, notes, tasks, and photos.
After all this headache it makes you think twice about computing in the cloud, eh?
New Sidekick 2009 With 3G Confirmed

Well, the leak has now been confirmed: T-Mobile revealed the existence of a 3G version of their popular Sidekick LX. This means faster browsing, video streaming, audio streaming, etc. In other words, welcome to the 21st century all you Sidekick fans. Other notable features include:
- Built-in GPS
- Very high res 854×480 screen
- 3.2 megapixel camera
- Upgraded UI that includes device-wide search
- Exchange data support
- Available in carbon black or orchid purple
- Price: $200 after 2 year contract and mail in rebate
Leak: Sidekick 2009 FCC Label Emerges

Thanks to some published FCC documents, we now know that Danger is about to release a new device from Sharp with the model number PV300. Although the documents, especially the above pictured label, doesn’t explicitly point to a new Sidekick device - the Sidekick 2009 or Blade - the information provided does indicate that the handset will operate on the 1700mhz spectrum, which is akin to T-Mobile 3G network who has long carriered the Sidekick.
