Unlocked GSM Compatible Palm Pre Now Available
By Christen da Costa

Soon T-Mobile and AT&T customers will be able to buy a Palm PRE…for $715. That’s right, the unlocked GSM version of the Palm PRE has gone on sale from none other than Expansys-usa. Pretty much everything remains the same as the original version, except this one sports a QWERTZ keyboard, as opposed to a QWERTY keyboard. They’re currently out of stock, but hopefully we can expect more any day now.

iPhone 3GS To Be Unlocked Soon?
By Albert

The iPhone dev team has recently announced they’ve found the 24Kpwn exploit on the new iPhone 3GS, the same exploit found on the iPod Touch 2G. Talk about retroactive bugs, but in this case it’s a really ‘good’ one. Expect a jailbreak and subsequent unlock utility for the iPhone 3GS in the near future.
Nokia N97 Shipping This June
By Christen da Costa

It’s official: Nokia will ship the N97 to 75 countries this June. There’s still no official word on price or actual launch dates, but we’re hearing about $700 in the US. Initially, the phone will be sold unsubsidized and unlocked, but I wouldn’t be surprised if a carrier eventually picked it up.
‘Never Locked’ iPhone Is $800 And Apple Sanctioned
By Christen da Costa

By now we all know that the iPhone is ‘locked’ and must be hacked if you wanna use it on another carrier, such as T-Mobile. Well, guess what? Hack no longer. Buy.com is selling a ‘never locked’ and in fact sanctioned unlocked iPhone. Even better, the iPhone warranty is totally intact and the phone can be updated in a legit fashion by connecting to iTunes without having to worry about if Apple will ‘brick’ your phone. If this isn’t a hint that Apple is trying to clear out inventory for a Gen 4 iPhone launch in June, then I don’t know what is.
But of course you’ll pay for it. The ‘never locked’ 3G iPhone is $799.99 with free shipping.
